Tivello Privacy Policy
Tivello is a player for content sources you configure. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no servers of its own.
What the app stores
All data is stored locally on your TV:
- Playlist sources you add — server addresses and the credentials you enter for them (Xtream Codes logins, M3U URLs, Jellyfin tokens).
- Your preferences — settings, favorites, watch history and resume positions, reminders.
- Cached guide data — channel lists, programme guide (EPG) entries and artwork fetched from your sources, kept so the app starts quickly.
- A small recovery snapshot of your playlists and settings, also on the TV, so the app can restore itself if the TV's storage housekeeping clears app data.
None of this leaves the TV except as described below.
Network access
The app connects only to:
- The sources you configure — to fetch channel lists, guide data, artwork and streams. Your credentials are sent to those servers only, as required to sign in to them.
- A backup destination you configure (optional) — backups are written as an encrypted file (AES-256-GCM, key derived from the password you choose) to local storage or to your own SMB network share.
The app contacts no other services. It sends nothing to the app's developers — there is no telemetry, crash reporting or usage tracking.
Data deletion
Deleting a playlist removes its data from the TV. "Reset app" in Settings removes everything the app has stored, including the recovery snapshot. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
Children
The app includes an optional parental PIN for locking settings and hiding channels. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
